I will unashamedly confess that we are card-carrying nerds, and one of our goals for the last few years has been to create a family mission statement. Jake and I want our children to know what it means to be a Stum and the standards to which we hold each other accountable. Would you even guess that the marriage retreat ended with just this opportunity? We spent a few hours at a coffee shop hammering out what our statement would include, and it turned out GREAT! No, I'm not going to post it here, but I'll bet you'll see it on display in our home before long.
A huge thank you to Karis, nanny extraordinaire, for keeping the boys.

I think you should post it here for those of us that don't get to see it displayed in your home :( OR if you want to buy me a plane ticket to Cleveland just to see it in person I'll agree to that too! :)
So I'm going to have to come to your house to find out your mission statement?! Please just a clue! So glad you two were able to get away! The longest I've been away from Levi is about 15 hours for our anniversary. I found your outfit hanging in Nash's closet...if you've been missing it! So sorry to take so long sending it! That's what happens when it is out of sight! :)
I agree with the others. You'll need to share that mission statement, Meri. Really, I wouldn't have expected anything less from the person who wanted to review our 10 yr goals while on a girl's vacation! :-)
