I heart the Medicine Shoppe

There's a bit of romance that comes with living in a small(ish) town like Cleveland, and today that romance includes our wonderful pharmacy/pharmacist. Until last year, we used the big chain drug stores to fill our prescriptions, but one day Jake got fed up with the line and hassle and sped over to the Medicine Shoppe on Ocoee Street. He got what he needed in 5 minutes or less, and thus our love for Dr. Endo and his team bloomed.

Not only did these folks stand firm while CVS demolished the entire block, but they are also simply wonderful people. Endo, the pharmacist, has his CELL number printed on the window just in case you need him after hours. How thoughtful is that?!

When we brought Dosen home, we were at their window every single week for months. That's no exaggeration, so the Medicine Shoppe crew became part of our family. But now that we see them only occasionally, they call my children by name and always have some fun treat to share. In fact, Luke received a birthday toothbrush when we visited them yesterday!

So, if you would like a wonderful experience while supporting a truly local business, visit Endo and friends at the Medicine Shoppe. I know, I know you can't coupon and rebate your way through his store, but I promise your buy-one-get-one widget will still be waiting across the street.

Small hometown stores are a real treasure. Customer service is rare in this day and time. Thanks for the recommendation.

Wow, we are moving to Cleveland...this weekend, hope you have room...lol! Wish we had a place like that here...though, we don't hardly ever go to the pharmacy, except for passport photos...but we have new passports so we shouldn't have to go for a while - oh heck, we're still on our way over to crash the party! But I hear ya, nothing like for real, down to earth, friendly folk.
