Timeline

Lots of our friends and family have asked how long before we'll travel to bring Mr. VPS home. Man, I wish I knew! Does the photo below explain why?!?!

It is a very different process this time for several reasons, but the main one being that with Dosen we did our home study and dossier before being matched with him. With Vee, we found him before submitting a single document. Thankfully our homestudy for Dosen paved the way, and the children's home in India approved us to move forward based on that study.

If I understand it right, here's the plan:
1. complete a new home study
2. apply for I800 (all the adoption pros shudder at the thought)
3. compile a new dossier
4. wait for a court date in India (court cases are now centralized in New Delhi, but I'm not sure if that's good or bad as far as speeding up the process goes. I've read it can take 9 months or longer to get an appointment. Join us if you will in praying that because Vee is a waiting child maybe it will go faster. )
5. Travel? I'm not sure if anything else happens between #4 and #5? Still learning.

We can't post an uncropped photo of this cutie until steps 1-4 are complete, so we've got to hurry people!
