Time at home--what a luxury these days!
Not sure if he is checking the NASDAQ or BCS stats. Either way, papaw's in the zone.
Meanwhile, Dosen is considering being a Chippendale for Halloween.
C-A-T-S Cats, Cats, Cats!
We were able to spend a Sunday in Chattanooga together. That is unheard of when you're a professional Christian like Jake. We had a sweet devo time led by Dad at Rembrandts and then headed down to the playground on the river.
Yes, I did want him to get down... right after I got the pic.
Same for this fearless child. The higher the riskier the better.
Apparently Jake had been stabbed in the eye.
This, however, was the best part of the day. Our adoption agency has a representative going over to Vee's children's home who offered to take him a little something from us. While there are far more cuddly animals that we wanted to send, we decided to do Build-A-Bear for the sole purpose of recording a message. My camera battery died while we were mid-stuff, but recording the message was hilarious. All four of us ended up in the employee bathroom (upon the manager's recommendation) to avoid all the mall noise. We succeeded in recording a completely obnoxious sing-song-y message to our boy.
Making wishes to send to brother.
The original flat bear was off-putting for Dosen, but he came around enough to name it "Brother Bear" with Luke. They each took a turn sleeping with bear before he made his journey to our agency. Vee, we hope you love it!

What a GREAT day! I can't stop laughing at Jake's eye in that picture. hahaha, awesome! BTW-I saw the shirts and they look great! Maybe I'll stop by to get them next week?? (going out of town tomorrow).
You are hilarious! Great pics!! Can't wait to see Vee's response to brother bear!
Glad you were able to include your whole family in the gift for Vee while he waits. As important as it is for Vee to see something (and hear something) from his new family to remind him how much you love him, it is also so great to have your sons included.
My daughter helped me assemble the photo album we sent to Anju, and my son helped with preparing our suitcase of toys/clothes we brought to the orphanage. I found that it really helped with their bonding to their little sister before we went to get her.
Bon Voyage, Brother Bear!
He will LOVE it! Most of the kids did have a stuffed animal, so he will trumph them with his singing bear :)
So glad to see you all are still alive and kickin'. It looks like you had a wonderful break!
Love the Build-a-Bear idea! Would love even more a video of you all in the bathroom trying to record something together-what a family memory, I'm sure! LOL!
Ok the commentary on the pics was so funny. Also I love the Build A Bear idea. So cute.
Out of all those adorable pictures of your boys (and really, they are adorable boys), my first thought was - Oh my gosh, look how long Merica's hair is. How superficial am I? It looks great though. :-)
And I also think the Build-A-Bear idea is ingenious.
Love it!!! Hahahaaa...would it be wrong or inappropriate to say that we wish we were in the bathroom with you guys laughing while you recorded that??!!!
Still laughing at "professional Christian"...that will keep me going for days.
