I love forms

I think I want to be a professional form filler outer. Would you pay me? My current specialties are fed ex slips and financial statements. I'm also trying my hand at two grant applications. Empty boxes to check make me giddy.

This week has been dedicated to winning the battle of the dossier, and I'm proud to announce that I OWN this thing. Forms are flying out to their respective apostille offices, and I hope to have a husky stack of Tennessee docs all ready for Nashville by Monday.

We drove to Atlanta for our biometrics appointment on Monday (fingerprints), and my dear hubby saw the look in my eye. He didn't even THINK of asking me about lunch until we had our prints done AND hand-delivered our marriage license for apostille. God smiled on his patience because we had time make both stops and enjoy a sit down lunch at the OK Cafe before speeding home to pick both boys up from school by 3:00. Oh yeah. Mama was happy.

Random photos from the vault:

Dosen at just over a year. Our friends from Kentucky left their carseat, and naked boy thought it was a perfect place to chill.

Luke at age 3. He'll be 7 before long, and I think I don't like it.

Ha! I felt like I had memorized more information about myself than humanly possible filling out all those forms so many times- like my husband's social security #, square footage of my house, assets, etc. I did have the thought when the adoption paperwork was done that I could take on a job doing it for others since now I finally know what I'm doing (after stumbling through some of it) and then found out that there ARE people who do other people's dossiers for a job. (Not in the sticks here in N MN, but in actual cities.) Good luck with the grant apps. We got a great grant through A Child Waits- def. recommend that one. We didn't get anything from the other 3 we applied to. Jonah asks about Vee regularly and wants to play with him when he gets home. Praying for you all!

I remember rushing around to get our dossier apostilled the day before we left for vacation last year. After that, we were finally able to relax a bit, knowing that it was now out of our hands. When they first gave us the list of documents and what we had to do with them, I thought it would take us a year, LOL. But 2 weeks later we had it knocked out. Amazing what determination will do to speed up the process. Hope all goes quickly for you now!

You go, girl!
I love that feeling of being on the downhill of the paperwork instead of still pedaling seemingly with no progress on the uphill!
