Luke and Dosen (and mom) are happy for any reason to have cake, so we whipped up a little in absentia treat in honor of our birthday boy. Dosen caught on quickly that he who sticks around the longest gets the most batter.
Back to the immigration approval - this means that we're done with all the steps within the US for now. There are 3 (maybe 4?) big pieces that now have to come together in India, so please pray with us that these will happen just as they are supposed to. Just as in Ethiopia, it looks like multiple court dates is a trend.
We've had a pretty great day with the I800 news and cake-making. Happy birthday, little man. We're so ready to celebrate the goodness of the everyday with you.

Happy Birthday precious VEE!!! We love you and can't wait to kiss your sweet face!
Love the celebration---and praying for all pieces to come together quickly!
M and I are safe at the orphanage! :)))
I don't know why I tear up every time I read about someone's adoption! Happy Birthday Vee!!!!
Love the second photo of the boys and the cake mix. Luke looks like a salesperson with the Duncan Hines box. Hey.....yet another sponsorship opportunity ;)
It is so sweet how your family celebrated V's birthday. Cannot wait until he's here to celebrate!
I'm glad you had the opportunity to honor Vee's birthday with your family. When Anju had her birthday in India, we were unaware of her exact birthdate, just had it narrowed down to within a month since she was not yet free for adoption when Ashaya approved our homestudy for her, and we didn't have her referral papers yet. We hadn't even seen her picture at that time.
Wishing Vee a happy birthday, and praying that it is the last one celebrated apart from his family.
Aw, happy birthday little guy!
And p.s. I think the picture of you all in front of the Christmas tree can double for your Christmas card.
Oh wait.
I forgot to whom I was typing.
:-)
Wishing V the a very happy birthday, but know that the happies are yet to come!
