This is essentially the last step in our looonnnnggg journey to Vee, but court dates are really tricky things in adoption world. We are thrilled with the hope of progress while reserving some emotional energy because there very well could be 3 hearings. Unlike Ethiopia, it seems that multiple dates can happen quickly in India. With Dosen they were nearly a month a part. I thought I would seriously go crazy.
The ultimate outcome of these court proceedings is guardianship of our boy. Once guardianship is granted, we'll be able to apply for visas and buy PLANE TICKETS!! Yee haw! India in the summer. Who's with us??
We are praying specifically for these things:
1. the right judge to be assigned our case; may he/she act with swift compassion
2. paperwork--no errors and plenty of thorough supporting evidence
3. protection for Vee as his time at Ashraya comes to an end; compassion and extra kindness from and for his nannies
4. protection for us--emotionally, physically, financially
We are not alone. Thank you for standing with us.
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.
Isaiah 40:28

So, I typed out this long response to you on the Ashraya group page, and for some reason it was lost in cyberspace :( I thought the news was absolutely fantastic and we are standing with you on all your prayer points. Looking forward to seeing all 5 of you in July ;)
