Passport Prayers

We're down to the homestretch! We leave in 5 days. 5 d-a-y-s. Jake and I wave as we pass each other in the driveway because we're both trying to leave our day jobs in tip-top shape while we're gone. The boys are taking it all in stride but growing less impressed with cereal for dinner (again).

We do have one rather large hurdle to cross, and we need your help. Get out your post-it notes, a red string, or whatever you do to remember things. We must have V's passport to leave the city of Bangalore. It is expected to arrive tomorrow, but there have been some personnel changes that seem to have slowed the process a bit. A slowed process in adoption? Shocking!

With flying time and the days we're spending in his city, there are 8 days for the passport to arrive. Surely this is enough cushion, but if it is not, we cannot fly to Delhi to complete the embassy & medical appointment. We booked our flights knowing it was our responsibility to stay until the passport arrives. We will do whatever it takes, of course, but my heart's desire would be to keep the trains running as scheduled.

We would appreciate your prayers for V's passport to arrive by August 9. Having it before we ever buckle up on the first flight (7/28) would be extra peace to our to our nervous hearts.
