Today was an absolute dream! Just after Jake turned the camera off, Vismay repeated "Daddy, Mummy, Luke" over and over. He even said "Dosen!" This fella has been so well cared for and very well prepared for this day. He would not leave our sides or our laps. All of his friends were thrilled for him, and he was so proud to introduce us.
We had a great chat with Agnes over tea, and she shared a lot about his schedule. She has worked at Ashraya since it opened in 1982, and for all you Ashraya families reading right now, she remembered your sweet children well. She asked for pictures of them, so we'll have the iPad to show her your blogs on Monday. It was so special to tell her how well all of you are doing.
We're still processing it all, but today could not have gone one bit better. That first kiss was worth every day waiting, every uncertainty, and every dollar raised. Nothing feels more like living the Gospel than a gotcha moment.
And we leave you with a few photos:
Happy guys! If he wasn't in Jake's lap, he was calling, "Daddy, come" or "Daddy, sit."
First meeting. Love at first sight.
One of 50 hugs today. Blurry but long awaited!
Dance party! The teacher invited Luke to dance, and he jumped straight up and did it! One of my proudest moments ever.
More tomorrow! No passport yet, so please, please pray for favor.

Just came across your blog and so glad I did...congratulations to your beautiful family...
You know, I've always loved those moments in the airport that you get to see...loved ones being reunited, with hugs and kisses. Watching your video gave me a taste of that same sweetness, tears and all. I can't help but think that these moments are so precious to us because they are a small sampling of what our heavenly reunion will be like, when we run to our Father and happily kiss him.
Vismay is so blessed, and so are you. It is certainly a match made in heaven. And I am so glad to be a very small part. Thank you for sharing him with us.
