My favorite shot of the day. Vismay is very, very sweet to Daddy.
First thing this morning. I'm not sure why they powdered his face, but it was everywhere. We gave him a fun little light toy, and he LOVED it. In retrospect, I should have saved this for the plane(s) because he was mesmerized. Maybe I'll hide it to make it seem new again.
On a walk in the park just behind Ashraya. He was eager to go, but once he saw the big kids playing at the play area, he wanted to go back. He never let us out of his sight, though.
His "light" and "teddy bear" as he called them. If he wanted to put them down (which was rare), he tucked them inside my bag to be sure they stayed his. He learned fast that all the good stuff is in mama's bag.
So, so sweet together.
This fella, "J," belongs to a friend I met on a yahoo chat group for India. Francesca (below) lives in London, but she's here fostering her little man until his passport is ready. She invited us for a delicious lunch today, and we had a great time chatting and loving on her sweet boy. Such a lovely, hospitable family. We hope to spend more time with them before we leave Bangalore.
The open-air classroom at Ashraya. It is a very nice space, and the children seem to be giant sponges for learning any and everything. Their English is terrific. They have been so kind to Luke, and we've loved sharing candy treats.
Play area at Ashraya.
Luke chillin' with his new pals. He was BORN to live overseas! Nothing intimidates him, except maybe an Indian taxi ride.

Great pictures, thanks for the update. This is a weird request, but if you have a gps, would you send me the coordinates for Ashraya?
Loving the updates...
Awesome update! I'll be camping so won't have much opportunity (if any) to check up on you all from now on---but we're still praying and excited for you even if the comments stop, ok? Hope your sleep schedule is doing fine--rest makes it all the more fun!
This ABSOLUTELY incredible!!! He couldn't be sweeter!! Lots of Love to you!! Love, Gillian
Praise God for the great relationship you already have due to prayers and the preparation of their staff. Do the children have much male interaction or has it been mostly female?
So nice to read about your first meeting with your son, what a sweet little boy!:-) And so wonderful that you didn´t have to wait until Monday for your first visit to Ashraya. Hope you have a chance to get a glimpse of our little one, can´t wait until it is our turn to go there. All the best, Marita
That picture of Luke and Vee is precious. Vee's smile is so big and happy!
Big Congrats on Vismay. What a joy for all of you. I am glad everthing has gone so well. Luke seems to love the big brother role. Wish you safe travel and great upgrades on the trip home. My niece just adopted a little girl, Anna, a few months ago from Africa. She is beautiful and just had her 1st birthday.

Congratulations! (We hopped over from Manu's blog.) Your sons are very handsome -- and it looks like Vismay is just as in love with you as you are with him.
God bless you as you get to know each other,
Nancy

I don't think I could be any happier...all of life's concerns just washed away. Praise Jesus-you have him!
